Hey Folks,
Well even though it's "back to school" season most of you seem to still be pretty busy because we're doing everything we can to keep fish in stock. Had a few items to add to the list come in over the weekend and a few more that we didn't have time to get into the Friday email. But before we get into that just note that we are still shipping good numbers on both the Electric Green and Starfire Red Angels this week.
Mentioned these on Friday but was able to get some really good pics over the weekend of the 2-2.5" assorted Singapore Discus. Got just about every tope selling variety in there including Pigeon Blood, Marlboro Red and Blue Diamonds. As well as a few other beauties like Snakeskin and Red Melon. One Item that did get left off the email were the Agassizi Cories. Size ranges from average to huge and overall they look great. Had some Galaxy Rasboras come in late last week but wanted to make sure they were holding up well and so far so good. Don't expect those to hang around long cuz they never do. Got in some large Albino Paradise for the first time in ages. Color is nice and the fins are absolutely insane. Handful of medium Bosemani Rainbows managed to sneak their way in as well as some Lemon Blue Eye Bushynose. Guessing both of these will be sold out in a day or two so order early. And last but not least we got in just about every size and color of import Peacock you could want. All are freshly juiced and super bright. Pick of the week goes to the 4" since we haven't had those in quite a while.
In case you missed Friday's email here are some of the highlights:
We'll start with Colombia. The most obvious first overall pick are the XL Royal Plecos. Holy hell these are massive. They're basically bowling balls with fins. I can honestly say they are the biggest I've ever seen in person and that includes ones a=on display at public aquariums. On the exact opposite side of the size spectrum are the small Royals. But these are probably a bit more manageable for the average person. Also running small are the newest Zebra Plecos, but that just puts them into the adorable category. And Rounding out the new Pleco entries are the Orange Seam. These are the L-106 that have almost a honeycomb pattern that surprisingly is already starting to emerge.
But it's not just about Plecos from Colombia this week. New Pike Cichlids are Belly Crawler types and the size is excellent. New Silver Dollars significantly bigger that the last couple of batches. Might have enough Silver Hatchets to last more than one day (but definitely not more than two lol). Ossa Knives are humungous, most are 8"+. Both Pygmy and Punctatus are must have staples. And last but DEFINITELY not least, we have Otos! I have no idea how long this will last so put you order in NOW!
Asia is always chocked full of goodies and this week is no exception. I'll start with my favorite addition this week, Bumble Bee Gobies. No, they're not rare or unusual. But what they are is adorable and easy to sell which is what I absolutely love about them. Opposite of them in every way imaginable are the Lemon Oscars. Very nice group this week with super bright yellow coloration and better than average size. And I know I sound like a broken record but turns out I've been right about the whole nano fish are super popular thing. That's just about all anyone was talking about at Super Zoo (as far as aquatics were concerned). So with that being said I would recommend everyone add the Redfin Rice Fish to their orders this week. Hobbyists are grabbing anything they can get. And not exactly on the small side but still small are the Samurai Gouramis. These guys defy all science and logic because for all intensive purposes these should not do as well as they do here but just about every time we get them in they hold up really well. And if it's balloons you need it's balloons we got. Restocked this week with Balloon Rams, Penguin and Red Eye Tetras. You may not like them but your customers do.
Florida raised fish is my favorite segment each and every week because there is always something to write about. But believe it or not I'm not gonna start it with a Cichlid but instead a Rainbow lol. Orange Albino Millenia are in for the first time in months. Size is average but color is outstanding. Be sure to put these over dark gravel so they can really pop. We also got in some great looking Buffalo Heads. These used to be one of the most common West African Cichlids but have fallen into obscurity over the past decade. And one I can't believe I haven't gotten to wrote about in quite some time are the Peacock Gudgeons. Dollar for dollar one of the best colored fish money can buy.

| Found this Blue Diamond in the 2-2.5" Assorted Singapore Discus mix. As I mentioned above this is one of the best batches at this size that we've seen in quite some time. |

| 4" Import Peacocks are back for the first time this summer. Full transparency these are definitely juiced, however at this size they generally tend to hold on to their color so long as they're fed a decent diet. Lotta hybrids like this purple dragon ghost lookin thing(yes I totally made up that name) but there are also some normal strains in the mix like Sunshines and Blue Regals. |

| Another example of what's in the 4"Import Peacock mix. With Halloween right around the corner I'd be tempted to call this variety "Dracula Blood" Peacock. But there may be some copyright infringement there so probably not a good idea lol. |

| But if you're looking for something on the smaller side we got in a very nice batch 2" Import Peacocks as well. |

| New batch of Strawberry Peacocks are also very nice and freshly juiced. |

| Got Albino Paradise in at a large size over the weekend. These are nearly twice the size of the regulars with amazing fins. |

| Got in a VERY limited number of medium Bosemani Rainbows over the weekend. These always sell out in a hurry so order now if you need some. |

| Galaxy Rasboras got a restock late last week. Not huge but big enough to tell what they are. But considering this is a sellers market when it comes to anything nano these will be sold out in a day or so. |

| Red Honey Gourmis keep coming in bigger than average with very bright red coloration. An easy sell for this time of year. |

| Checkerboard Barbs starting to come in with some size to them again. Now that's not to say that they're big by any stretch of the imagination but they are considerably larger than they have been with very nice color and great patterns. |

| Somehow we managed to leave the Agassizi Cories off the Friday email which is odd cuz they are one of the best looking Cories here at the moment. |

| Zodiacs are one of the best looking Loaches here this week. Super crisp patterns make these guys stand out from across the room. |

| Lemon Blue Eye Bushynose are back for the first time in months. Average size is between 1-1.25" but these sell on name alone so it really doesn't matter how big they are. |
