Red Pikes are back!  Haven't seen any around since probably Jan or Feb.  These seem to be the Atabapo II variant.  Already showing cool pattern and color at this size (7 inches or so).

    News & New Items
    Hey Everyone,

Hope everyone had happy Thanksgiving and a very busy Black Friday Weekend. It's hard to believe Christmas is almost here and that means our busy season is right around the corner. It's also beneficial that a cold front is making it's way across the country. This usually helps generate sales as people are more likely to stay indoors and spend time working on their aquariums and that usually means adding fish. So it's perfect timing that got some great stuff in this week including some exciting items from Thailand as well as some other far east imports and restocks from Colombia. And as always plenty of great Florida raised fish.

We'll start with the Thai shipment which has probably the most exciting items on it. First, and the one I'm most jazzed about are the Clouded Archers. This is a true freshwater species and tends to acclimate much easier than it's brackish counter-part. These also stay a little bit smaller attaining an average adult size of around 6". These just came in last night but so far they look fantastic. Also on this shipment are both Red & Green Scats with two sizes on the greens. We also got in Pacific Blue Rim Bettas from the same shipper. We've had these once before but it's been years. Really neat Plakat type strain with a white body and solid blue edging all around the fins.

New shipment from Colombia has no shortage of nice additions. Most exciting are definitely the Red Pikes. These aren't the Atabapo type that we usually get. Believe these are the type II variant. They don't get as red but have a really neat pattern to them. The ones we got in are around 6" and are just starting to color so they'll get redder as they grow. In addition to those we got in some Pink Tail Chalceus. These are a medium to large size Characin that aren't aggressive but will eat smaller fish so be careful what you put with them. Got restocked on Gulper Cats since the last went so quickly. New wild collected Bushynose Plecos are huge. Also got in some really nice looking Royal Plecos, Bleeding Heart Tetras & Brown Ghost Knives.

Hope wherever you are in the country you're managing to stay warm. But as we all know colder weather usually helps drive livestock sales. Let your sales rep know if you have any questions.

    Highlights video
Puffers, Pictus cats, best rainbows, shrimp, gold barbs

    Livebearer highlight video
Lots of fantastic livebearers in right now.  The red tiger platy in particular are the nicest looking I've ever seen come through here.
    Best bread and butter!
A lot of bread and butter fish running really big at the moment.  Ember tetras are gigantic for the species, rasbora hets and galaxies are both extremely nice.  Penguin and bloodfin tetras both basically full grown breeder sized.
    Super Cichlids!
Here's a quick video about the cichlids that are looking good right now.
New/Nice fish not shown in the videos
    Regular archer (brackish)
Clouded archer (pure freshwater, stay smaller than standard archers)
Green scats are way oversized for a "regular" this week
First time I've seen a Red Scat in a tank here in....3 years?  maybe longer?  Much better looking than the standard green scats, and for some reason seem to hold up better as well.  The Greens needed a day to chill out and acclimate when they arrived, but the Reds looked alert and ready to go straight from the bags.
Don't normally showcase the large wild bushynose, but this week's batch came in spectacular. Seem to be holding up well and the males are sporting some fantastic facial hair. I always recommend proactively treating with antibiotics.
Glass Cats are back in stock and are looking great so far.
Gulper cats are back!  These things are basically just swimming mouths and stomachs.  Can easily eat a fish the same exact size they are and that's not an exaggeration.
Pinktail Chalceus came in great size.  I think the tails will show more color once they settle in a few days, they usually do.
    Tetras
Bleeding Heart Tetras are a good size and much cheaper from Colombia compared to Peru.
Longfin Serpae Tetras are coming in as far east imports but are nice size with pretty good fin extensions. Color is really good on these as well. If you have to choose between these or the standard fin Serpae go with these.
New batch of Blue Kerris came in over the weekend and they're just as nice if not nicer than the last batch. These usually come in a bit smaller and nowhere near as nice of color so definitely stock up on these with the busy season right around the corner.
Fresh batch of Red Eye Tetras came in over the weekend. Solid size with bright red eyes. A common staple everyone should keep in stock.
Candy cane Tetras are back in stock and just in time for the holidays. These guys sell well on name alone.
Black Phantom Tetras keep coming in at a pretty decent size. Local availability has been very limited so these are far east imports as well but holding up really well.
    Cichlids
Got a few large Dimerus Acara aka Port cichlid in last week. Literally l have like three pieces but wanted to show these because we do have 3" ones available and wanted to show what they'll look like once they mature.
2" Red tiger Oscars came in particularly nice this week. Slightly larger than usual and really bright.
Rainbow cichlids got restocked this week. Came in a little bit smaller but are absolutely adorable at this size.
Mentioned these a week or so ago but the Red Point Hondurans are some of the nicest I've ever seen. They're running about 1.25" and already showing this much blue. This is a fantatsic strain.
Redfin Borleyi are in at a regular size for the first time in a while. Oversized for a regular and one of the few Malawi Haps that has color at a small size.
Showed these in our first video a couple weeks ago as apart of the assorted large mbuna mix but we now have the Marmalade Cats in a large size on their own. If you watched the video you know a still pic doesn't do them justice.
