Unveiled at Global Pet Expo!  The next GloFish®....Electric Green®!  As you can see, these are going to have some variability in them, so they won't all just be solid color.  Personally, the ones with the black patches I think look way better than solid color, and the gold headed ones are cool too.

Release is "some time towards the end of Summer". When we get closer to launch time, trust me, you'll know.  Just keep an eye out in this email later this year.

    News & New Items
    Hey Everyone,

First, thank you to everyone that stopped by at Global Pet Expo this week!  You got to be among the first in the world to see the new Electric Green® GloFish® Angelfish on display! Reception was terrific, and everyone sounds excited to be able to get a second color of Angelfish into the tanks. Starfire Red® will be available again very soon, and we appreciate your patience and understanding on the delay on those.  The hurricanes really messed the supply on those up at the end of last year.

Lots of awesome stuff on special this week, make sure to check it out;  The super nice male cichlids we took to Global are for sale and and are actually on special since we have so many to move.  This is a once a year opportunity for you to pick up some incredible fish for the best price of the year.

New in this week, we got some Sumatran Tiger Datnoids, which I'm sure will be gone in a hurry.  We only got 9, and it's first come first served on those, so if you've been waiting for those get your order in ASAP.   We also got a new strain of Swordtail from a new supplier and they're BASICALLY the same thing as the Vampire swordtails, but these are probably a little bit nicer than what's sold as Vampires nowadays.  The red is more intense and the fins are in better shape.

Couple really nice colors of shrimp available at the same time this week, so it's a great time to make a nice mixed shrimp tank.  The Yellow Fire are definitely the best, but the Red Crystal, the Blue Diamonds, and even what comes in the Deluxe Mix are all very good looking and all in stock.

On the opposite end of the size-spectrum from shrimp, we also got both Redtail and Tiger Shovelnose catfish in at the same time this week too.  Just in case you've got customers with a 20x10 foot pool they need to stock (or more realistically, a 75 gallon that they're going to inappropriately house these fish in until they die prematurely).  Red Tail Catfish get 5 feet long, and it's a good idea to remind your customers of that.

The Discus that came in this week are the best I've seen in months.  We brought in a larger size mix from Singapore that's absolutely beautiful.  They're 3-3.5 inches but they're listed as 2.5-3 inches on the list, and honestly they remind me of the old 4 inch Discus we used to get from Hong Kong 7 or 8 years ago that would always sell out instantly.  You need to buy these if you're a discus store at all.  We're selling them too cheap, I'm almost positive, so take advantage of it now.

Check out the pictures and writeups about the specifics below and give your rep a call if you have any questions

Red Pikes in all their glory. these really do photograph best in an aquarium as opposed to in a net or a hand which is how we usually have to present them. They got even redder than this by day 3 of the show.
The Chalosia Elongatus were showing off all week but as much as they were displaying territorial behavior they actually got along really well. These are still in stock and look amazing!  They're on our stock list as "small", but they're like 3.5 inches.

Redtail Crystal Platy look great.  Three colors on one fish.
Red Glass Barbs are recently added to the list again, and coming in awesome size.  I was trying to get a pic in the tank under the light so you can see the color better (they're nice bright orange) but they're too active and all the pics were blurry.
Gold Neon Tetras are a nice change from standard neons, and right now they're running HUGE.  I know it's hard to tell in the picture, but these are the same size as the Jumbo Florida Neons.
Always one of the best looking mollies, and this week is no exception, the Gold Panda Lyretail.  These make terrific pond fish as well, mollies are great algae eaters.
If you want a more natural looking molly, we have plenty of large Green Sailfins right now.  This is the ugliest one i could find but he was right up against the glass and made for a good photo, so the males you get will all look better than this one.  Most have more yellow in the body and a nice yellow edge on the dorsal fin.
Penguin Tetas are running big again this week, great community option you might not be carrying already.
Pigeonblood Guppy are a nice pinkish reddish male guppy if you want to cherry pick something nice and not buy the assortment.
Platinum Green Tiger Barbs are worth the price over normal greens.  Size is much better, and this color is fantastic!  They really catch your eye.
It's been a hot minute since Rosy Tetras were in stock.  These are very closely related to the "candy cane" tetras, but with slightly less color for a slightly less price.
Pineapple Wag Swordtails are still the biggest and nicest sword here for I think 4 weeks running.  We're putting them on special now.  I have no idea how these didn't sell out 3 weeks ago.
New Imports for this week from Asia
Sumatran Tiger Datnoids are here!  These are the more desirable Datnoid, the ones that get much larger and have the lighter base color behind the stripes.  I think this is the first time we've ever ordered these, I believe.  If you were one of those stores asking if the "Indo Tiger Dats" were these in the past, I hope you're ordering this week to get these guys.  We only got 9.
Red Crystal Shrimp are a nice mid-grade crystal right now.  Not terrible, not show-winning AAA grades either though.  Perfect for the price.
One of the coolest new fish this week are these Drapefin Barbs.  Google pictures of these, cause I'll be the first to admit that my photo here is trash.   The males get nice big dorsal fins and they show off to each other, making a very exciting display fish.
Pagoda Snails keep arriving every week, so we're going to keep bringing them in as long as we can get them,  I expect any minute now they're going to disappear for two years again like last time.
New Swordtail!  These are "Full Red Lyretail HiFin Swordtails".  Basically "Vampire" swords, honestly, but they're from a different supplier.  Color is a little bit darker and better on these than the vampires that are showing up right now.
Redtail Catfish are about 2.5 inches, and doing great eating live ghost shrimp.  This is just about the fastest growing fish on the planet if you feed them well. They'll be 6 inches in 3 months.
Shovelnose Catfish are back in, although very small.  These are listed as 2 inch, and they honestly might be a little smaller than that.
Yellow Fire Shrimp are looking absolutely phenomenal.  Super, super bright yellow with an even brighter stripe down their back.  This is the shrimp you need.
Longfin Tiger Barbs are back.  I wish these were still get-able out of Florida, but we do have to import them nowadays.  Fins are definitely much longer than standard tigers, and they do seem to be less aggressive as a result.

    Central/South American Cichlids
We have 2 of these jumbo Alfari left.  We were holding onto them for Global, but ended up not taking them.  This is probably your last chance you'll ever have in your lifetime to buy fully grown Alfari.
We borrowed some of the breeders for the severums we've been getting locally to get pics and show you.  This is one of the actual parents of the red spotted severums we get for sale here very frequently.  As you can see, they're very nice.
Here's one of the breeders of the "red spot turquoise" severums that we currently have.  This is what they look like when they grow up.  Beautiful strain of severum with a lot of blue in the face (hence the "turquoise" part of the name).
Balloon Rams came in not as balloony as usual, which some of you might like.  If you're been waiting half a year for normal Gold Rams, getting some of these balloons and picking out the ones that look like this isn't a bad idea.
Large mix angelfish are back in stock and good size.  Larges are a solid inch longer (wider?) than the mediums right now.
    Old World Cichlids
Regular sized venustus are oversized, almost mediums.  And we're putting them on special, so stock up.
Regular Frontosa cichlids came in bigger than I've seen in a while as well.  And we did also recently lower out stock list price on these, so check it out!
The above 3 fish are examples of the "Show" peacocks (which are actually peacocks/haps/hybrids).  We put them on special since we have quite a few.
High Yellow OB Peacocks also available this week.  Very rare OB color morph.
    Discus
This is a random scoop of the 3 inch assorted discus.  As you can see, they're extremely nice and worth the increase over the 2 inch (pictured below).  Like virtually all cichlids (discus are a cichlid) discus start life much less colorful than their adult form, and an additional even half inch of growth makes a HUGE difference in how colorful the fish are.
Here's the 2 inch mix discus, a random scoop from the tub.  There are actually a fair number of mostly blue fish too, like the turquoise pictured below as well.
Here's a close up of that cool red pigeonblood from the 3 inch mix photo at the top.
A fish out of the 2 inch mix as well so you can see the blue fish in that mix that my random scoop for the group photo happened to miss.
Also available as a specific color this week, Pigeonbloods.  And this batch looks way, way better than the last.  They actually look like adult pigeonbloods already, surprisingly.
    Plecos & Pals
Large Albino Bushynose are still coming in huge.  Well, the males anyway.  Male and female pictured so you can see the difference.  Females don't get nearly as big as males.  No, we can't sell you all males.  They're mixed sex and probably 60% females.  Honestly it's perfect for anyone looking to breed these, you can have eggs in a week.
VERY LIMITED, we found some more big Hoplo catfish.  These will definitely be sold out on Monday, and we aren't going to let anybody buy 12, I think we only have maybe 15 available.
