Hey Folks,
Well summer is definitely in full swing throughout much of the country as we seem to have gone from winter freezes to blazing hot temps almost overnight. Plus today marks the official start of hurricane season for down here. But all that notwithstanding we did get in quite a bit of new stuff in over the weekend as well as some items we just couldn't fit into the Friday email. First and and foremost as you may have guessed from the opening pic are the Florida raised Angels. These have been in surprisingly short supply so far this year due to the freeze we had this winter we are finally getting back into a lot more sizes and varieties that have been sorely missed. We weren't able to get a lot of them onto the pricelist before the deadline so check with your rep for availability and pricing.
In addition to those guys we had quite a few other surprises come in over the weekend. Surprisingly my favorite might be the Sunset Variatus. Size is average but the color is mind blowing. These could pass for a saltwater fish they're that colorful. A close second place are the Rainbow Dace. These are in full blown breeding mode and are as colorful as they get. And speaking of color the assorted male Rainbows got a restock over the weeknd and with a much nicer variety to it including Turquoise, Dwarf Neon and even a few Bosemani in the mix. And if you missed the Friday email we also got in medium Bosemani Rainbows. This is a mixed sex group but very male heavy. Gold Pearl Gouramis are also mixed but with some very nice males in the batch. And while they may not be the most exciting addition this week they certainly are a very popular one, we got in regular Texas Cichlids, and as an added bonus they're on sale.
In case you missed the Friday newsletter here are the highlights: Far East always brings lots of easy sellers and my favorite has to be the Apistogramma Agassizi Double Reds. Size can be hit or miss on these but this week's are fantastic. Apistos continue to be the best selling group of dwarf Cichlids in the hobby so the enthusiasts are always on the hunt for anything they can get. And speaking of dwarf Cichlids we're are completely stocked up on just about every type of Ram you could want including German Blues, Golds, Blacks, EBs and Bolivian. Considering how many people are downsizing their tanks it's always a good idea to have a good variety of smaller species available.
But if you're in the market for something non-Cichlid related we got plenty there too. New Blue Kerri Tetras are as nice as they come. Glass Bloodfins are running much bigger than usual. Regular Bloodfins are back in stock after being unavailable for a few weeks. Veiltail Cherry Barbs are absolutely stunning with massive fins. Red Glass Barbs are back in the fold along with LF Rosy. Just about every Rainbow is running oversize with outstanding color. Best looking Swords this week include Neon, Marigold Wag and Hifin Lyretail.
For those of you on the lookout for something a bit beefier we got you covered there as well. Still have a smattering of 2-3" and 3-4" Redtail Cats. Just got a new batch of Tiger Shovelnose in this morning. 3" Clown Knives are eating like champs. Managed to sneak in a few more Royal Clown Knives (these look amazing in person BTW).
